Responsibilities

  • Work cohesively with the Student Support and Reentry advising teams to facilitate outstanding service to returning students.
  • Detail oriented and responsible of daily packaging updates.
  • Be able to hold professional conversations with students and parents and create solutions for the families.
  • Efficiently and accurately package assigned reentering students.
  • Discuss payment plan options, balances and holds in a timely fashion.
  • Create financial plans for reentering students.
  • Ensure student files are complete and accurate and that their payments have posted on the students accounts.
  • Utilize reports to review students’ progress, analyze urgent matters and work with your director for priorities.
  • Evaluate unusual/mitigating circumstance documentation or information provided by the student; exercise judgment by making adjustments or revisions to costs, contribution, and need or dependency status as exceptions to the prescribed process.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of related Financial Aid experience.
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training.

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent Customer service, problem-solving approach to work.
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • The ability to multi-task, work independently, and make decisions based on guidelines.
  • Strong basic computer software (MS Office) skills as well as exposure to more concentrated financial aid software (Campus Vue/Campus Nexus preferred)
