Responsibilities

The HR Administrator is an integral position in the HR Department and assists with day-to-day HR activities including employee onboarding, new employee orientation, HRIS data entry and reporting, and benefits administration.

  • Serve as primary contact for new employees in all new-hire follow-up procedures and inquiries.
  • Maintain HR system to include data entry and processing of all transactions related to the employee- onboarding, status changes and separations, name changes, employment verifications and general personnel management.
  • Respond timely to routine HR questions; escalating complex issues when required.
  • Verify Faculty credentials to include official transcripts, license and certification documentation.
  • Maintain and update organizational charts.
  • Contribute to benefits open enrollment planning and ongoing benefits enrollment for new employees; administer benefits.
  • Coordinate background check process for new employees.

 

 

 

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of administrative experience; preferably in Human Resources.


Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong customer service focus.
  • High attention to detail, especially when working at a fast pace and/or with frequent interruptions.
  • Experience in a high volume, admin based role.
  • Proactive approach; able to problem solve and come up with new ideas.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organized and task oriented.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and degree of confidentiality.
  • Experience and expertise with Ultimate Software or similar HRIS.
