The Vice President for Accreditation and State Licensure coordinates regulatory and compliance activities, the Office of Institutional Research, the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and training initiatives of the University. The Vice President for Accreditation and State Licensure is responsible for maintaining consistent policies and procedures University-wide through communication, assessment, audits, policy development, training and support services at all campuses. The Vice President for Accreditation and State Licensure serves as the chief liaison officer with accrediting and regulatory agencies.


  • Ensure that accreditation requirements, including compliance with accrediting standards, are incorporated among other institutional goals and objectives and into the planning and evaluation process of the University.
  • Coordinate the preparation of annual profiles and any other reports requested by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (“SACS.”)
  • Ensure that the electronic institutional data collected by SACS is accurate and timely.
  • Develop the timeline for completion of all tasks associated with the accreditation and reaffirmation process.
  • Identify committees and provide direction to ensure completion of all activities according to the timeline.
  • Manage the collection and analysis of information and answer questions regarding the accreditation and reaffirmation process.
  • Work in collaboration with Office of Institutional Research in monitoring the University's strategic plan and institutional effectiveness.



  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution in Education, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience related to at least two of the areas of responsibility described above.
  • Experience with SACSCOC or other regional accrediting body preferred.


  • Promote ECPI University mission and core values; Code of Ethics.
  • Knowledge of credential requirements for a regionally accredited university.
  • Knowledge of process, principles, guidelines procedures and criteria for Accreditation- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
  • Knowledge of educational philosophy and university administrative practices and procedures; college/university curricula and instructional programs.
  • Knowledge of technological systems as they apply to instructional, administrative and workplace needs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Strong leadership skills that promote dedication, creativity, innovation and growth.
  • Ability and skill in planning and conducting effective meetings.
  • Ability to think, reason, and make sound judgments to decide how duties and responsibilities are completed in compliance with university standards and guidelines.
