Electrical
HVAC
Refrigeration
Welding

Generator Repair and Maintenance

Container Inspection and Repair

 

As a Faculty Instructor, you will have a passion for helping students attain their career goals. The Faculty Instructor uses an approved curriculum and presents coursework that prepares the student to pursue a technical career in the trades program.

 

The successful candidate is consistently motivating, engaging, mentoring, encouraging, and fundamentally passionate about teaching to help students to gain confidence and skills necessary to obtain entry level employment upon graduation. The successful candidate will be a role model, set an expectation of the profession and deliver quality educational opportunities to our students in a hands-on, practical vocational environment.

Responsibilities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Preparation and delivery of an approved curriculum based on company coursework and lesson plans
• Regularly monitors student attendance and progress
• Maintaining communication with all students at risk; working with students to address any issues that may impede their academic progress and respond to student retention and classroom management issues.
• Promotes a positive academic environment with professional appearance and cultivate cooperative learning by maintaining academic standards

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years minimum professional and practical experience working in the industry, or its equivalent
• Must possess or be eligible for certification and/or license, or other credentials required by contract and/or state of employment.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend and squat.
• Technical expertise in all of the subjects in which the instructor will be teaching.
• Knowledge and understanding of the professional career paths and demands of the field
• Motivation and enthusiasm for teaching and having a sensitivity to student needs and interests
